U15 Hurling

Micheal Breanachts 1-11 | Padraig Pearses 4-03

Our Hillview construction sponsored U15 team made the trip to Micheal Breanachts to play their second match in the U15 Galway Championship last week. The Pearses lads started very well and were ahead 4-01 to 0-9 at half time. The second half was much lower scoring half but our lads defended brilliantly to hold on for the narrowest of winning margins.

U14 Girls Football Div 1 Championship

Our girls recorded their 3rd championship victory on the trot against St Brigids this evening in Kiltoom. When they say goals win games, this was certainly the case this evening as we scored 7-6 to Brigids 2-11. Credit has to go to our superb defending early on in the game with superb tackling and turnovers. Once we moved the ball to the forwards they did damage and at half time we were 6-2 to 1-6 ahead. We were playing with the breeze in the first half and Brigids made full use of this early in the second half and scored 1-1 without reply. Our girls never panicked and again some superb defending and a couple of excellent scores left us comfortable at the end. Credit to all the girls again.

On Tuesday our Div 4 team also played out an enthralling draw away to Kilbride on a final score of 2-11 to 4-6.
