Club Notes 22 September 2020

Senior Football

Our Paul Flynn sponsored senior footballers lost in the Senior County Football Final to St. Brigid's on a score line of 1-11 to 0-8 points. Our lads battled hard but a Brigid's goal put 5 points between the teams which was then increased to 6 and that's what finished between the teams.

Junior A Championship Quarter final, 18-09-20

Padraig Pearses B 0-15 – 1-8 St. Josephs

Pearses team that played; Jamie Donoghue, Shane Kenny, Tom Richardson, Brendan O Conner, Shane Downey, David Whelan, James Kelly, Aaron Feehily, Andrew O Regan, Jack Downey, Eoin McManus, Matthew Feehily, David Grehan, Eanna Ryan, Niall Finneran. Subs used: Tomas Ryan, Adam Finnerty, Mike Kenirons, Jason Cunningham, Padraig Downey.

Pearses started strongly going three points ahead with points from James Kelly, Aaron Feehily and David Whelan. Saint Joseph’s got two points before a point from Niall Finneran. Three points from David Grehan had Pearses ahead with a score-line of 0-7 to 0-4. A late goal near the end of the first half had the sides level with a score line of 0-7 to 1-4 at half time.

Both sides exchanged a point before the water break for the second half. Points from Matthew and Aaron Feehily put Pearses two points ahead. This was followed by two points for Saint Joseph’s as the sides finished level forcing extra time. The score line after sixty minutes was Padraig Pearses 0-11 Saint Joseph’s 1-8.

Two points from Pearses followed by a point from Saint Joseph’s gave Pearses a one-point lead at half time in extra time. Pearses added two further points to leave a final score line of Padraig Pearses 0-15 – 1-9 Saint Joseph’s.

Clubhouse bar

The newly renovated clubhouse bar opened yesterday the 21st of September.  The bar will open every evening from 6pm. 

U12 Camogie

Congratulations to our U12 Camogie team and management who beat St. Dominic's in the final. Picture of the team seen below:

Lotto

The lotto was held on Monday the 21st of September due to the Football County Final on Sunday last. The lotto numbers this week was; 1,14,27,33.

There was no Match Three's and the next draw is on Monday the 28th of September 2020 due to the Hurling County Final. Thanks for you continued support. Next week's jackpot stands at 7,500 Euro
